These, having been created by the fans, range from cute to otherworldly. On top of all the official publications, there is a sea of well-designed homebrew races to help you make your next D&D character a memorable one. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.There are many playable races in Dungeons & Dragons to choose from, and many new races are being added or updated with each new book published by Wizards of the Coast. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive. ![]() The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.įor printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. A rare few, however, let their natural skill and the stories they inspire delude them into a dangerous arrogance, willing to do anything to achieve their goals and maintain their reputation. Most become legendary figures devoted to helping others in whatever form they can, free of the constraints of law or doctrine. Lightborn, a race infused with positive planar energy and with a talent for inspiration and courage. They are the beacon of light in the darkness. The people look to them without thinking.
